 How to make nasi kuning


Nasi kuning is a delicious and appetizing Indonesian ok dish.Identical nasi kuning appears when there are events such as birthdays, weddings, inaugurations, and opening ceremonies. For serving, yellow rice is often shaped into a cone, using a tumpeng mold. But it cnan also be served as usual like any other food menu.
The materials used are:
- 1 kg of rice
- 5 cm of turmeric
- 2 cm galangal
- 900 ml coconut milk
- 1 old coconut
- 2 pandan leaves
- 2 lemongrass stalks
- 4 bay leaves
- 5 cm ginger
- 5 red onions
- 4 tsp salt
How to cook:
-Wash the rice,then soak it in water.
-Puree turmeric, ginger, galangal, shallots, and salt. Put it in the coconut milk and mix well.
-Cook the coconut milk until it boils.
-Discard the soaking water, pour coconut milk into the rice while filtering. Enter the bay leaves and lemongrass.
-Boil the rice over low heat. Keep stirring until the water is reduced and it almost forms into rice. After the ripeness level reaches 3/4, take the bay leaves and lemongrass from the inside.
-Prepare a saucepan for steaming, boil the water first. Put the rice in a steamer pan. Add pandan leaves.
-Steam the rice until it is completely cooked or the term cooks.
-Wait for the rice to cool, then it can be formed
